MMTS Surcharge on Season & Single Journey Tickets
for travel on Secunderabad-Hyderabad-Lingampally Section

 

    Ministry of Railways have decided to levy the Multi Modal Transport System (MMTS) surcharge on season tickets and single journey tickets issued for travel between stations on Secunderabad-Hyderabad-Lingampally section. The rate of surcharge will be as under:-

Type of Ticket Surcharge Leviable
  • 1st & 2nd classes MSTs
  • 50% of the basic fare notified in the fare table
  • 1st & 2nd class Single Journey Tickets upto 25 kms.
  • Nil
  • 1st & 2nd class Single Journey Tickets beyond 25 kms.
  • 10% of the basic fare notified in the fare table

2.    In the case of QSTs, the MMTS surcharge will be 50% of the QST fare.

3.    This MMTS surcharge mentioned above will be on the basic fare notified in the fare table. After rounding off the total fare as per the existing rounding off rule, safety surcharge at prescribed rates will be added additionally.

4.    The date of levy on this MMTS surcharge will be from the date of introduction of this scheme which will be decided by South Central Railway. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of this Ministry. Necessary instructions may be issued to staff concerned immediately and compliance ensured. This surcharge is valid for a period of one year from the date on introduction.
