for last three days I have been trying to obtain the information about train from purna to akola. all I could get were "Train cancelled""bf error" "try after some time" etc. 9770S is reported once as the train number and then on enpuirying about the accomodation it is reported as Gorakhpur Secunderabad express and accomodation availability for this train is reported.

This is not a complaint or reporting of a problem.I have a suggestion regarding the reporting ofseat availability. Your website now has the optionof selecting "All Classes" to see trains betweenstations. This is not available for reporting theseat availability.It will be nice if the final seat availability fora specific train is given as a table with one rowfor each of the 7 days and one colume for eachclass available on that train.To get the same information, customers have togo back and repeat the operation for each class,increasing the network load and server load foryour system.I hope you will be able to make this modificationin your next release.Thank you. The Bangalore Central Railway Station should have more trains to different parts of the country. The internet site assumes that I have lot of knowledge about the indian Railways. For Example to search for a train connection the site gives an option for Sothern Railway Trains, Central Railway Trains, etc.THe site is not user friendly at all.Please recast the site assuming that as a passenger I have no knowledge about the indian Railways.Suppose I want to know the train(s) connecting Narnaul to Nasik. I have no way to get the information. First of all, let me congratulate for constantly updating this site. I have been using this quite long and I find lots of improvements. It has also become very friendly.On 7th Jan 2003, I was searching for availability from BCT to HWH. I selected train no. 2809. It gives me av. for a week. There is a button at bottom saying " click for av for next 7 days" . Once you click, it gives for ONLY one more day.2. Also, for HWH - BCT trains, it gives destination up to Kalyan JN only. It should give either upto Kurla-LTT or upto VT - CST.thanks. spot your train is also an excellent link.

Please could you include the closest matching station/city names to your database, so if one enters Goa for source/destination for example, the system shows the different sttions available in Goa. Also, if one spells the stations wrong - example, Kalkota it will ask if the user meant Kolkata etc. That will make it much more helpful, instead of going by the train numbers, and names of the different trains

Your site tells me that there are no trains between Mysore and Mangalore, Mysore and Ooty, or Mysore and Chamrajanagar. We are trying to go from Mysore to Cochin. We know there is no direct train to Cochin from Mysore, but surely there must be a train from Mysore to Mangalore and then Mangalore to Cochin? Or we could take a bus from Ooty to Cochin.

Sir, Whenever I look up availability between two stations for a train , could you show in one screen itself the entire range of classes and their availability.Today, i first select say third ac and then see availability.If it is full i have to go back two screens , select sleeper class and then go forward two screens to get availability.My recommendation is that once the stations and the train is selected , in one screen the availability , fare for the next fifteen days should be shown on one screen.I am a software person - if this is resource intensive..in the background you can build this information and store it as it gets generated - present the information fifteen minutes "before"status. Actually it is not a complaint but a suggestion that when you give avaibility in trains between two desired stations then you should also provide the number of seats allotted for passengers (quota) between given two stations and then the present status against that quota and also the present status of avability of seat between starting and destination stations. Like somebody is intrested to travel between Mumbai Central and Mathura Jn, then there a fixed quota of seat available while there is diffrent status of availablity between Mumbai central and new Delhi staion. This facility stinks. I am unable to get any information -- about stations, trains, schedules, fares. Nothing. I wanted to find out about train schedule from Madras Egmore and Aranthangi. I could not. Not only that I can't find even places like Kumbakonam. Nothing is intuitive. Nothing is easy. You might as well scrap the whole thing. It is a waste of time and effort.

I HAVE BOOKED A TICHET FROM UNCHAHAR TO AMBALA CANT VIA UNCHAHAR EXP TRAIN NO 4517 ON 10.01.2003 VIDE PNR # 244-9404800 IN IIAC. HOWEVER ON THE SAID DAY THE TRAIN WAS CANCELLED FOR WHICH I GOT THE LETTER FROM ASM UNCHAHAR. HOWEVER WHEN I TRIED TO CANCEL THE TICKET I WAS INFORMED BY RAEBARELI COUNTER (COMPUTERISED CENTER) THAT THE TICKET CAN NOT BE CANCELLED AS THE CANCELLATION CODE HAS NOT BEEN FILLED IN BY DELHI IN THE NETWORK. IT WAS UTTER SURPRISE FOR ME AS I WAS NIETHER ABLE TO PERFORM THE JOURNEY NOR THE MONEY FOR THE TICKET WAS REFUNDED TO ME FOR NO FAULT OF MINE. A TDR WAS HENCE PREPARED NUMBERING 447779 DATED 11.01.2003. YOU ARE REQUESTED TO KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND HELP ME GET BACK MY MONEY AT THE EARLIEST.

I am very happy with the facility your site provides.But would like to point out and request you to do some changes.The site seems to be very slow at times (many)Please eliminate unnecesary Java Scripts. eg onmouseover effects on text links in top frame.Please intoduce the facility to check the available trains from intermediate stations also, instead of only checking available trains from main stations.Please provide drop down list to select trains with their nos and pls do the same for station codes. Pls sort the drop down list on station name basis and train name basis.These changes will go a long way in helping the international browsers and users of your valuable web site.Many Thanks.

i think the name of the passenger should be given with the pnr status so that it would totally confirmed to the passenger that the ticket or the berth belongs to him.
