hi,
I have a suggestion. When we check for tatkal quota, the reservation is from
end to end. Then I dont think there is any need to ask for source station or
the destination station for checking availability of tatkal seats. Also when
the train is known we can show availability status of tatkal of all the classes
( 2A, 3A, SL etc ) on one page itself. Just a suggestion

i booked a reservation ticket through your online reservation facility. the
reservation is for 19-jan-2006, from dehradun to lucknow by 4266(DDN-BSB)
express in III AC.
Earlier there was no III AC coach in this train, now also there is no listing
of III AC coach in the mentioned train in your Web site. So please clarify for
the same and if there is III AC coach in 4266(DDN-BSB) then please reflect in
your web site.

the new system of website browsing for the indian railways has become extremely
non-user friendly . earlier we could easily put in the names ( only first few
characters ) of the originating and destination station and could get a list of
all the trains going to the destination . Where has that option disappeared ?
also then by selecting trains we could check if tickets were available for a
particular date or not . even the fares and schedule could be easily obtained .
now for the new web-site we first should dig out the relevant train name and
number .... this is wastage of time . pls change the format to the older type
or atleast inform us how to access the information easily as we used to do
earlier

The previous web site was better designed. In that it was possible to see all
the train options available between any two stations. Thus one could easily
choose the suitable train. The new website doesn't seem to give that option.
I hope you would restore the old Website format.

I am from U.S.A> The web site looks good. I tried to plan my trip in India but
I could not get just information about train timings without registration. I
tried to register but the entry form was confusing. It allow to select
countries other than India but does not allow to enter cities other than in
India. How do I register if I am an U.S citizen and buy e-ticket or at least
get some information.
