The site starts with different section i.e.Western railway, cenral railway etc.but for a stranger destination person, does not know that his searching destination falls under which section. Therefore,(1)The site must start with the map of Indian railway. The costomer after finding his destination on map and clicking on map itself shold directly reach the concern section. (2)Finding of destination station from general index clicking on it should take to the concern section of W.R. or C.R. etc.(3) The spell of Bharuch should be checked.

when checking the schedule of train especially between mumbai cst and pune jn and reverse. I have found that inspite of the indrani which terminates at mumbai cst it is shown as destination kalayan jn, and the fare applicable is for the fare as far as kalayan. why is mumbai cst not shown.? and why is the fare up to kalayan? the same applies for 7308 koyna it shows that the train's destination is kalayan and the fare for kalayan why is it so? .I do travel between mumbai and pune and before leaving I always check the avaailibilty of trains , I find that I am been given the wrong information as put up on your web site. a reply will assisst me for better travel in the future.when will reservation be available online?

I found using your website impossible! I could not locate a train between Mumbai and Goa, both major Indian cities. Also charging 600 rupees to be able to purchase a ticket online is going to discourage almost all non-resident visitors. Indian is a beautiful country that could benefit from more tourism, you should be doing more to encourage such visits. I visited about one year ago and also found it impossible to buy a train ticket in person because of widespread corruption.

The train listing for Pune to Mumbai, second class seating, shows Intercity express 2128 at 6pm. However accomodation availability shows TRAIN CANCELLED, and none of the queries for this train work. Sir,The following problems I faced while going through your site:(1) In the heading "Trains between Important Stations" the H Nizamuddin Station has not been included. It is an important Station.(2) In "Train Schedule" in the list of Rajdhani trains, all Rajdhani trains are not included. For example, TVC-NZM Rajdhani (2431) is given, but NZM-TVC Rajdhani (2432) is not given. Similarly, Chennai-NZM Rajdhani (2433) is included, but NZM-Chennai Rajdhani (2434) is not included. Also I wasted lot of time searching for time table of local EMU trains. I could not find any link for time table of EMU trains. There should be link for other railway sites such as that of Northern Rly site, Southern, Western Rly sites etc.I hope this would be rectified soon.Thanking you(RATHISH)

sir,i would like to draw your kind attention towards the problems faced by paasengers at Charbagh Railway Station at Lucknow.1. there is no PCO booth on the platforms except at no.1. there fore people face probem while waiting for train and with their luggage they can go out every time. i have seen that stations at south have this fcility at every platform. kindly do the same at Charbag also.2. there are no Medical shop inside the entire Railway Station (above) and passengers sometime need medicines while travelling. 3. the Computerised Railway Reservation counters open upto 2.00P.M. only on Sundays. let me bring to your kind notice that generally people get Sundays as holiday and the day they can do their personal work. but since the Sunday is a half working day they face problem. i would like to suugest that the above counters should remain open for full day on sunday also.thanking youMukesh Srivastava

I am a long distance traveller using Indian Railway services.Here are few comments:-1. Beggers allowed in Sleeper class.2. People are allowed to sit in Sleeper class.3. Police and Ticket collectors never bother beggers etc on board while harrass peolple who are capapble of paying, the motif to catch is not who has violated but the one who can pay and possible a bribe.4. I am not sure kind of water being used to prepare food in trains that have canteen facility. Pay attention to it specially in summar season.5. Revervation counters should be made cozy, one example of it is Indira Nagar railway reservation counter in Bangalore. It is worth emulating.regardsArun

It is a good gesture, but it seems that all the articles that a doctor is supposed to carry with him during his journey (blood pressure instrument, stethoscope, torch, approximately 100 tablets) would make him carry an extra bag of approximately 5 kilograms.Though this all might seem the duty of the doctor, but who will pay for all the medicine that he / she uses during the journey. Applications have been invited twice through publication.There is vacency for 15 agents .Neither licence is granted nor refusal is given. from 9.45 am I am trying to book 2 tickets Netravati Express from Mumbai/Kurla Terminus to Kayamkulam in Kerala. But, I find that every time the site comes up with 'Gateway Timeout' page. Consequently, I could not book the tickets. This is strange. I doubt that there is some foul play by interested parties to prevent on-line booking so that they can corner the few available seats in the morning itself. This needs to be investigated.Another problem I faced earlier was that when the names of stations are mentioned, the booking is not accepted with the comment that such station name is not matching. Even Kurla Terminus and Lokmanya Tilak Terminum is shown as not existing. Kayamkulam is also not existing. Later I found that Kayamkulam is spelt as Kayankulam, causing the problem. The Station names when typed should come up with the code and the code can be automatically incorporated and accepted instead of rejection. Similarly named Stations should also be shown with the name of State sÓ 8!

Sir,I approached the Secunderabad Station Master for Circular journey covering Secunderabad -- Chennai -- Tirupati -- Secunderabad on March 3, 2003. They refused to give saying that there is no provision. This is not the first occassion. I am really appreciating services of Railways, but having one problem and one suggestion.Last week I was traveling from Mumbai to Ahmedabad by Karnavati Express, where I had seen lots of unreserved people rush in to reserved coach and creating problems for those having reservation. I found all four laterian was completely full, and some had do laterian at place one can stand for toilet; this was creating problem for all passengers. May I request you do needful to avoid such situation and increase comfort for people.One suggestion for new rules, which was for giving concession to doctors. Why this concession to only MBBS doctors why not others like BSAM or DHMS doctors, they are also equally competent and studied, So please add them in this concession.Thanks

Today ( 07/03/03 at 10.40 AM ) I booked tickets for my old parents and for other family members ( TRANSACTION ID 0000211663 ).While providing dtails in the requisition form i clearly mentioned abput desired berths considering the age of my parents and kids.But to my surprise, the berths allocated has been found not suitable for old persons ( side upper) and even my son of age 7 years has been allocated a berth in a differnt coach. I failed to understand how railway has felt that a small boy of 7 years of age can travel alone.In view of above, i request you to provide suitable berths for my old parents and small kids so that yhey can even perform their journey.Furthe, before comleting the transaction, please provide details of berths allocated against a perticular requisition so that if allocated berths are suitable to the buyer than only he / she shall buy the tickets otherwise abandon the transaction.Ó 1

the site does not contain information whether an accredited journalist, who are allowed concession in all trains, are eleigible for the concession in the case of season tickets also.
