Thank full to Railway board once again Tamil Nadu connected to Punjab and
Utranchal directly. The new time of the train also good. Also i am requesting
the board if the same time priority given to Andaman Express which is running
between Jammu to Chennai and on the same new train time it full very much help
full to Bhopal Nagpur sector passenger and they can reach Chennai early morning

Respected Sir/Madam,While Checking for reserveration availablity we have to
choose date / train number (selection)and if we do not find the availblity we
have to try the other train number and repeat the process.It will be better if
we can get list of trains in which availablity is present on a particular
date.that means only the list of trains in which reservation is available. This
will save time to search each and every train .This is just a suggestion. Thanks

I find it quite dysfunctional that your schedule link requests us to choose
between shatabji, Rajadani, or mail/express trains. how is everyone supposed to
know which train they want?A smart format would be to simply let someone enter
their from and to stations, and your sites shows all. After all, there are no t
a million trains between two destinations. Your site makes for too much work to
find the information.also, you have a tap "important" stations, but who decides
that? Haridwar is not on your list of important stations, but given it is the
access to rioshikesh and Char Dham, one would consider it important. Again, more
dysfunctionalithy.I suggest eliminating that tab, and have one tab..train
schedule...where someone enters their to and from cities, and then show the

Sir,This is regarding the timings shown in the schedule of the train no.2628 ,
Karnataka Expressbetween New Delhi and Bangalore.When I checked up the time
table for the same train ie.2627 (between Bangalore and New delhi)there is
variation in the time taken to cover the same distance.For eg for train 2628,
the time take to cover a distance of 37 kms between Gulbarga and Wadi is shown
as 1 hr 25 min where as for the same distance and for train no 2627, the time
shown is around 40 min which I think is correct.Same is the case for Ananthpur
and Dharmavaram JN.I request you please to correct the timings.Also, the
distance between Bangalore (SBC) and Bangalore Cantt is negligible and is shown
as 20 kms in train 2628 and 0 in case of 2627.I request you to correct these
anomolies Otherwise, the web site is very useful for regular commuters like me.

i want to know whether i will get student concession or not.i am a student in
Gandhinagar, native of Lucknow, i wil go home in vacation (from 1-Dec to

book tiks for 5 travel segments. I ended up entering my credit card info.
5-times. Could you add an option like "Add to shopping cart" and checkout once
at the end. ~~~ Or did I not figure this one out ~~~* The system restricted me
to book for only 4 segments (per month). Is this for a reason. I was however
able to create a second account and book my last (5th) travel segment. So the
workaround was easy, but added extra typing. * Would it be possible to receive

Hi, I have a query. Once i was using your site to see the availabillity for
seats. There were no any seats & status was WL/304 But as soon as i went to
Station I found that a whole coch was empty.That coch was reserverd from Nagpur
onwards.I was accessing the availability From NDLS to BPL and my request was
genuine. Site must show me free seats for my request. This ytpe of wrong

Hello SirOn 2nd Nov I travelled to banglore by Udyan Express. My PNR No was
834-5841285. To my surprise I observed the following.1) No Pantry in the train;
so venders were over charging.2.) The food Quality was sub-standard.3) Dinner
was served without water, papad/ curd and was charged Rs 35/- for veg Meals.4) 1
Liter water bottels were served at Rs 12/- though it was marked Rs 10/-5) Since
our compartment was next to the general compartment too many unautherised
travellers travelled in reserved compartment. The TC was not available for help.
Ladies co-travellers found it difficult even to go to the toilet.6) the toilet
was stinking; so we could not keep it open even for a few seconds.Hope you will
take a serious note and atleast provide with pantry service it such important

Problems are faced by long distance travellers on chosing the right connection
at Major Important transit points such as Chennai due to lack of direct
trains.Assuming trains start at scheduled time without any allowance for a
connection at these transit points, is it possible to make known assigned

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm approaching the right department.However,since I

It was a wonderful experience booking tickets online & paying for it online &
getting the tickets at door step by the courier, it being the first time ,itwent
of very smooth, hats off to the team of CRIS who has developed this wonderful
system. One thing I would like to mention on this I did the booking for delhi on
rajdhani & back, the fare being x amount i was charged 60 rs both ways towards
the courier charges, though both the tickets were to the same address & deliverd
in a single consignment, secondly citibank charges 1.8 % on the transaction
value which in this case came to 3030 rs one way for 2 tickets,so ifyou see one
lands up paying 1.8 + 1.8 ie 3.6 % citibank chgs, 8 % service tax on the
citibank bill + 120 rs courier charges on a bom del bom 2 return ticket of
rajdhani ie nearly 500 / 600 rs extra, now why would one book tickets online the
2nd time, i would definately not do it, as it would be worth going to booking
window & doing the needful as little cost of money & time Ó

The site structuring is not very good, the left hand index doesn't fit well into
the screen of a 15' monitor... As for the informative aspects it is quite
impressive and detailed, some of the rules and reg's though are entirely
hilarious and seem not to have been revised since the end of the British Raj...
Personally instead of changing station names to get rid of the British linkage,
it would be much more appropriate to rid ourselves of dated rules instead.The
site is quite smooth though and the links work pretty well, the information is
useful and so is the reservation help that is given.But, I was dissappointed
that there is no info on a redressal system... for lost baggage, petty crime,

I came across the following discrepancies in station spellings between your web
site and July 2001-June 2002 "Trains at a glance". PER WEB SITE Per "Trains at a

may be few other errors might have slipped into Indian Railway System.Train

kokan kanya express.the distance from cst - madgaon is 768 kms and the same
route of madgaon - cst is 767 kms.How is this possible?but after going through
the time table thoroughly of both the train we have come to the conclusion that
the distance for train no 0111 Kudal - madgaon is 139 kms while for train no
0112 madgaon - kudal (SAME ROUTE) it is 140 kms.Can the authorities throw some
light on this issue.

In Reservation rules it is mentioned that only one requisition form(in case of
return journey 2-3 forms) is accepted at one time. In my opinion, it means that
if a person have reservation form more than one, has to come again in Q. After
coming again in Q he can get reservation accordingly for no of requisition
forms(which may be needed some times for various reasons). But this is not
happening in practice. Rly official do not entertain second application for
reservation. They say it is to be signed by reservation supervisor(who either
not available or do not sign for reason not known).This creats lot of problems
and nuisence. I want to know the rules about this. Please inform me and also

Your display for passenger stutus has been showing "seats confirmed -Chart not
prepared" for past three days and even on the day of journey , just even at 1600
hrs.displays the same information. For a person who is starting from the town of
Kharagpurat 1900 hrs.for catching a train 2307 from Howrah at 23.30 hrs, how
does he know in advance his seat numbers. It is better if the chart is prepared
and displayed at least 24 hrs in advance for confirmed reservations. Otherwise
the passengers are left just guessing about their seats and coach numbers. It is
suggested that as soon as the seats are confirmed the berth and the coach
numbers are shown in the requistive column of display, particularly when it is
all computerised.This would help passenger a lot and at least not keep him in

Terminus to Vijayawada through this website. However, I could not get it. But I

Booking through internet is fantastic.We are allowed to book ticket for only one
journey & the charges per ticket is 40,I request you to allow return journey
also on the same ticket so that we can save some additional burden.The courrier
charges is same for one ticket in one envelop or two tickets in one
envelop.Further we may be allowed for telescopic benifit for multiple
reservation on one ticket for different trains.I hope you can give us more
flexibility on on line resrvation

Problem faced:when i am trying to get the availability status for train no 5012,
from lucknow to vijayawada/warangal/khammam i'm getting the following error
message : "the halt has been deleted from ISL."it became very inconvienient for
me. why this is coming. pl look into it/correct it.

I tried to look for the schedule of two Intercity trains that run between Surat
and Jamnagar and the other one between Ahmedabad and Junagadh, but could not get
it. Probably these have not been included in the schedules.2. I was trying to
look at the trains which can take me to Tirupati from Vadodara, but it does not
suggest the route & connecting trains.

The reservation availability search in your site says station NGK(nagercoil) is
not in the route of kanyakumari exp and Ananthapuri Expwhereas it a important
station for those trains.
