          Sub:- Inviting applications of Railway employees having

         IT Qualifications for deputation to CRIS.

          Centre for railway Information systems (CRIS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Railways, is registered as a Society under the Societies Act.  The main objective of CRIS is to undertake computerization of the activities of the Indian railways.

          Presently CRIS is handling important Projects like FOIS, PRS, UTS, COIS etc., for implementation on Indian Railways.  Besides, CRIS is also performing the role of software maintenance, system hardware and peripherals maintenance as well as the system integrator for Indian Railways.  In regard to certain Projects, Board and MR have fixed targets for implementation.  However, we are facing acute shortage of Software Professionals, as a result of which implementation of many important Projects are getting delayed.

          We would, therefore, like to have the services of Railway employees, irrespective of the grade in which they are working, having qualifications in IT  like MCA, BE/B. Tech(Computer Sc.), M.Sc.(Computer Sc.), PGDCA. Etc., and aptitude to work in IT area, on standard terms of deputation for CRIS Office at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Chennai, Secunderabad, Bangalore, Gorakhpur, Patna, Bhubneshwar and Bilaspur. Railway employees may indicate their choice of  posting while applying.

          It is, therefore, requested that wide and adequate publicity may please be given on your Railway Unit, Prescribing one month time limit for submission of applications (s), so that the interested and eligible Railway employees may apply through proper channel, with advance copy to CRIS, for consideration.  While forwarding their applications, the CRs for the last three years and Vigilance/D&AR clearance may also be sent.
